Hey, hi, hello! I’m Cas Thompson, the owner, designer, maker, emailer…everything…behind Paxxy & Flora.

Thanks for stopping by to get to know me/P&F better! I am honestly so grateful you are here.

IT ALL STARTED WHEN…

I remember saying to my mum a number of times over the years that I was really keen to go and try a pottery class. I knew absolutely nothing about ceramics or pottery (not even the difference!), I didn’t know of or follow a single ceramicist on socials and I had no idea what I’d make, but it seemed like something I would like. I found a local studio to do some classes at and from the moment my hands touched the clay, I was in love. The classes quickly became the highlight of my week and I even turned down a work trip to Ireland because I would miss the final week of classes..and yes my boss thought I was crazy!
I’ve always said that I wanted to open a gift/homewares store one day and before I knew it I was back dreaming of that…although now the vision was becoming clearer and it involved a lot of handmade ceramics and flowers. I figured I’d never get there if I kept working in the corporate world and things at my work were changing for the worst; it seemed like the universe was telling me to jump. So I did.

THE VISION

My aim with P&F is to help you elevate your everyday moments and spaces through thoughtful purchases.
Whether it’s a statement vase as a centrepiece for your table, or a small dish to keep your earrings in, it’s not about just a vase or a bowl. It’s not just about being handmade. It’s about experience. Warmth. The smiles brought on tough days when you sit down for dinner and have a beautiful piece to look at it. It’s about the quiet nights in, in a home that makes you truly comfortable and happy. The coffees you’ll actually remember drinking because the mug you used made you slow down and appreciate that moment. It’s about the gifts you couldn’t wait to give your loved ones. Most importantly, it’s about making you feel good, even in the most monotonous, passing moments of every day life.
